the word “resurrection” literally means “to stand up.” This has vast and profound implications for us. The resurrection means that someone is always standing up for us, no matter how bad life gets. One can never say that he is without hope, so long as one person is standing up for him.

Jesus “stands up” in the middle of Mary’s sorrow.

Jesus “stands up” in the middle of the disciple’s fear

Jesus “stands up” in the middle of Thomas’ doubt.

Jesus “stands up” in the middle of the disciple’s failure.

The word ‘resurrection’ means “to stand up”

when you were trapped in sorrow, fear, doubt, and failure.. Jesus stood up for you.

and just as a field is never without hope, so long as one living blade of grass remains, so too, you are never without hope, because there is one who stands up for you!

He’s alive, and in Him, we have everlasting life!

prayer and spontaneous song… praying for the presence of God to fill us and define our lives.

Let there be light.

by night, these words have come to me in my dreams.. and in my thoughts, visions, and daydreams by day… God said “Let there be LIGHT” and there was light.

and when those words come to me, I feel the glory of the LORD in such a powerful way, I can’t help but to tremble… because I feel His power and I find myself in a total state of awe.. and the light penetrates my soul and all the deception and shadows are no more.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”

—Genesis 1

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

—John 1

Jesus is the Light. and when He enters, all the darkness flees.. He heals all our sickness, cleanses all our iniquity. and no shadow of sin and darkness can remain in the presence of the Light.
and He says abide in me, live in my presence… when we live and abide in His presence, and when we allow Him to be present in all our life, then the glory of God shines through us and God manifests Himself in our life.

When God is flowing through us, miracles happen, because God will speak through us.
Earlier, I was thinking about all the things that I’ve seen God doing.. and the way the spirit has been moving.. and I was thinking about prophecy.

when God says let there be light, there is light.

when it is God speaking through us, power is released. and there have been times before, when I feel God prompting me to prophecy over someone, and before I even finish speaking, the person is weeping and totally overcome by the glory of God

and it is not because of me, it is not my choice of words, or my ability to speak, the power is not from me… but it was released because in the midst of the darkness and emptiness, God said “Let there be light” and because God was speaking through me in that moment, that truth resonates through the words and there is light… and sickness is healed, and depression and fear is overcome, and hearts are transformed… and there is light

I pray right now, may the light of God shatter the walls of darkness that bind and imprison… I pray, may captives be set free and may they encounter the amazing love of God… I pray for boldness in proclaiming the Gospel and truth. May God give us the courage to boldly proclaim and release the light into the world, and may the atmosphere change… I pray that God would be so present in our lives that Light would be released through us.. that God would speak through us and that power and glory would be released to triumph over oppression, bondage, and shadows of darkness in this world.

Amen.

Let My People Go

I’m tired of girls cutting their wrists, and teens dying in gang battles. I’m tired of girls feeling that the only way they’ll be loved is to give themselves to some guy who manipulates them. I’m tired of the lies that have built their way into the hearts of this generation, the lies that tell us that we have no worth, that we can’t make a difference in the world, that nobody loves us, and that we’ll never be good enough… I’m tired of Satan’s lies in this world

God’s heart breaks over these things.. and I believe that He’s asking us to be like Moses, to confront the darkness that enslaves and oppresses people, and to say “Let my people go!”…

I believe that we as the church are called to be the response of God in the midst of oppression.. to storm the gates of Hell and bring down the walls of darkness and cry out “Let my people go!”.. “give us back our generation!!”

and I believe that God is raising up a revival right now, and He’s asking us to be a Moses generation… We carry the rod of God.. the Holy Spirit is in us. and if we put our faith in Him, then He will use us to do His wonders!! He will use us to change lives, to transform our campuses, and to see whole cities and nations saved!

Do not underestimate the power of God!

Do not underestimate the effect and the power that even one encounter with God can have on lives and on History… And do not look at any wall and think that it is too big for God.. Do not look at any person and believe that they are too lost to ever be found, or that they are too hardened to ever be changed.. Do not look at the circumstances of life and say that they are without hope, because in God, there is always hope.

I believe that God is going to release authority on a radical generation of revivalists to see whole cities transformed, and nations taken.. He’s sending out a call, and asking you to be a part of this revival, to give yourselves fully to the cause.. to pursue His kingdom here on Earth. To pray for revival to break out on your campus and in your city.. and to stop at nothing to see the desires of God’s heart fulfilled.

I pray that God would use you in massive ways, that His spirit would dwell in you, and that He will use you to perform His wonders and to free a generation trapped by pain, lies and darkness… to be a light so strong that the darkness flees and the walls of darkness, and hate, and suffering, and bondage would all be shattered. May the Lord be with you. Amen.

Jesus says to us, “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:13-16

I challenge you to shine your light, to not hide it under a bowl.. but to defeat darkness, and fight for love, for hope, for what is good and right and worth living for. and to give yourselves fully as Disciples of Jesus, to live your life as a living sacrifice for God.
